Greetings friends, family, supporters and patrons!

The St Lukes Tauranga Liturgical Calendar is complete! After nearly 450 hours of hard but very enjoyable work work, I am very pleased with the outcome. It is now installed in it's permanent home and you are all welcome to come along to hear me talk about it tomorrow at 10am, 146 Devonport Rd, Tauranga. I'll be talking about the germination of the idea and the tragedy that kicked it into action. If you've been following my journey on Instagram and Facebook you'll have some idea of what I'm talking about. For those who can't make it, join the live-stream on St Lukes Facebook page.

It took longer than expected but I was determined to make it as good as I could manage. The month of October I worked on it 6 - 7 days a week in what was the most beautiful home detention ever! Big thanks to Julie, Jessie and Luke for putting up with Daddy's busy schedule.

Thanks also to those who have been waiting patiently for me to make their work, it is a huge honour to have people willing to pay for my creative endeavours.

It seems very obvious to me, and I don't want to explain away all the wonder and mystery, but essentially it is an Icon of Jesus with the traditional liturgical calendar surrounding it. The calendar is positioned to line up with the Southern Hemisphere astronomical seasons with summer in the top left corner, autumn top right etc. The bright icons dividing these seasons are situated at the solstices, December 21, March 21, June 21 and September 21. The idea is that it is a moment to reflect on the eternal sacred rhythm of Christian discipleship. An inspirational, educational point of remembrance and reflection.

Prints are available on my website, I have a limited edition archival option and I am in the process of pricing some cheaper, smaller, poster quality prints. There is also the option of a print of just the central icon.
